Refunds & Cancellation Policies:

Deposits are fully refundable for up to 60 days before scheduled workshop. Rates based upon single occupancy. $500 deposit per person required to reserve your spot. Payment in full required 60 days before scheduled workshop.

Travel Insurance:

Please make arrangements for booking your own insurance policy. Travel insurance is inexpensive and can protect your travel expenses if you need to cancel your trip due to an emergency or cover travel costs if the workshop encounters cancellation. Each insurance company has their own policies, so you should consult with your agent to see what coverage is available to best fit your needs. All professional vehicle drivers will be fully covered with auto insurance as drivers working with France with Friends.

Food & Wine:

Food and wine served at our bed and breakfast is included in the trip cost, according to established schedule. Meals such as continental breakfasts, French family style picnics and dinners with wine are included in your package most days. As schedule allows, additional restaurant dinners will be provided by France with Friends. Guests will be responsible for any additional “a la carte” orders such as specialty foods, wines and spirits not provided by France with Friends, payable directly to restaurant. Although encouraged, guests are not required to attend these meals and can make alternate dining reservations of their choosing. In this event, guests will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the restaurant.  Meals at lunch restaurants typically cost around 20 Euros and dinners around 40 Euros. Should you need additional snacks or wine for your personal consumption, a small village grocery store with fresh bread, produce and wine is located just beside Chez Jules et Leonie. In addition, guests will have access to Chez Jules et Leonie exclusive wine selections available for purchase directly from the owner. Please let us know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies.

Accommodations:

Depending on reservations, our rooms may vary. There are a limited number of single rooms – please inquire, if interested. These rooms are assigned in the order they are fully-paid. France with Friends reserve the right to change the accommodation location due to unforeseen circumstances, but will always choose equivalent accommodation or better.

Transportation While at Workshop:

Transport to painting and sightseeing excursions is included. This is by van or car or bike rentals. The village is located just 40 mins by train from Paris and guests are free to take the train as desired with a short taxi ride from our home.

Travel Arrangements:

Airfare is not included. You must provide your own airfare to our Workshops in Valmondois. Transportation from Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport is via your own taxi. Simply give our street address and taxi will take you directly to our village in about 30 minutes for about 70 euros.

Housekeeping & Cleaning:

While we aim to please and make this a stress-free stay, keep in mind that you are residing in a Bed and Breakfast and this is more of a guesthouse experience as opposed to a full-service hotel. Clean linen will be provided once a week. Toiletries and hair dryers are provided. Guests are advised to travel as light as possible with smaller sized luggage as storage space is limited.  We do not assume any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.

Medical and Health:

Travelers should have a personal supply of any special medications, and for emergency purposes, we request guests to advise us of medical conditions and medications needed. France with Friends has no expertise or responsibility regarding what medication the traveler and his/her private physician should decide necessary for a safe participation in the tour. Any physical disability requiring special attention must be reported when the reservation is made. All guests should be fit enough to walk unaided for at least two hours and manage uneven stairs and occasionally steep walkways, as we visit historic towns and villages. All guests must be able to carry their own art supplies to and from painting sites and vehicles.

Photographs Taken at  Workshop:

Use of traveler images photographs and video taken during the trip are the property of France with Friends and may be used in digital and print promotional materials. If you do not wish to have your photograph used, France with Friends must be notified in writing no later than the beginning of the tour.
