General conditions

  • Group must be 6 guests minimum and up to 12 guests depending on sleeping arrangements
  • Guests must be 18 and older

Exchange Rate Fluctuation 

You understand and agree that if any transactions for your Account are affected on an exchange in which a foreign currency (Euros) is used, any profit or loss as a result of a fluctuation in the exchange rate will be charged or credited to your Account.

Refunds & Cancellation Policies

In case of cancellation, payments are fully refundable for up to 60 days before scheduled departure.

Cancellations less than 60 days before scheduled departure will be subject to this policy:

  • Non refundable reservation deposit due 90 days in advance : $600.00
  • Less than 30 days before departure: no refund
  • 60 to 30 days before departure: 50% refundable
  • Full balance payment due 60 days before departure

Cancellations in case of force majeure** will be refunded in full.

**Force Majeure

Force Majeure Event means any event or circumstance beyond the control of the provider, including but not limited to: (a) an act of god (such as earthquake, flood, fire, explosion, landslide, lightning, action of the elements, force of nature, washout, typhoon, hurricane, cyclone, tsunami, storm or storm warning or natural disaster); (b) industrial disputes, work ban or other labor dispute or difficulty; (c) acts of terrorism, political unrest, war or threat of war, riots or civil strife; (d) failure or delays to scheduled transportation and the closure of airports or ports; (e) pandemic, epidemic or health risk; (f) governmental and administrative actions (including closure of borders and travel warnings and restrictions).

Scheduled Itinerary

France with France makes every reasonable attempt to accommodate its customers. Alterations in itineraries are sometimes necessary/desirable. You agree France with Friends has sole discretion and authority to alter the itinerary as it is printed.

Travel Insurance

Please make arrangements for booking your own insurance policy. Travel insurance is inexpensive and can protect your travel expenses if you need to cancel your trip due to an emergency or cover travel costs if the workshop encounters cancellation. Each insurance company has their own policies, so you should consult with your agent to see what coverage is available to best fit your needs. All professional vehicle drivers will be fully covered with auto insurance as drivers working with France with Friends.

Travel Arrangements

Airfare is not included. You must provide your own airfare to our destination in Valmondois.

Transportation from Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport is via your own taxi. Simply give our street address and taxi will take you directly to our village in about 30 minutes for about 70/90 euros. Our Bed and Breakfast is located on the village main square.

Food & Wine

Food and wine served at our bed and breakfast is included in the trip cost, according to established schedule.

Meals such as continental breakfasts, French family style picnics and dinners with wine are included in your package most days. As schedule allows, additional restaurant dinners will be provided by France with Friends.

Guests will be responsible for any additional “a la carte” orders such as specialty foods, wines and spirits not provided by France with Friends, payable directly to restaurant.

Although encouraged, guests are not required to attend these meals and can make alternate dining reservations of their choosing. In this event, guests will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the restaurant. Meals at lunch restaurants typically cost around 25 Euros and dinners around 45 Euros.

Should you need additional snacks or wine for your personal consumption, a small village grocery store with fresh bread, produce and wine is located just beside our accommodation.

In addition, guests will have access to the homeowner exclusive wine selections available for purchase directly .

Please let us know in advance if you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies.

This is not a vegan appropriate tour.

Accommodations

Depending on reservations, our rooms may vary.

There are a limited number of single rooms – please inquire, if interested.

These rooms are assigned in the order they are fully-paid. France with Friends reserve the right to change the accommodation location due to unforeseen circumstances, but will always choose equivalent accommodation or better.

Housekeeping & Cleaning

While we aim to please and make this a stress-free stay, keep in mind that you are residing in a Bed and Breakfast and this is more of a guesthouse experience as opposed to a full-service hotel.

  • Clean bed linen will be provided once a week.
  • Fresh towels will be provided every 3 days unless otherwise requested.
  • Toiletries and hair dryers are provided.
  • Guests are advised to travel as light as possible with smaller sized luggage as storage space is limited.

We do not assume any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.

Transportation While at destination

Transport to most sightseeing excursions is planned via taxi vans and included in your trip.

Scheduled trip to Paris is planned via train and metro. Please, wear comfortable shoes as it will involve several hours of walking.

Should you want to skip a part of the itinerary, the village is located just 40 mins by train from Paris and guests are free

to take the train as desired with a short taxi ride from our home.

Medical and Health

Travelers should have a personal supply of any special medications, and for emergency purposes, we request guests to advise us of medical conditions and medications needed. France with Friends has no expertise or responsibility regarding what medication the traveler and his/her private physician should decide necessary for a safe participation in the tour. Any physical disability requiring special attention must be reported when the reservation is made. All guests should be fit enough to walk unaided for at least two hours and manage uneven stairs and occasionally steep walkways, as we visit historic towns and villages.

Photographs Taken during trip

Use of traveler images photographs and video taken during the trip are the property of France with Friends and may be used in digital and print promotional materials.

If you do not wish to have your photograph used, France with Friends must be notified in writing no later than the beginning of the tour.
